Maggie Trask (she/her) M.C.
Maggie Trask (she/her) is a Registered Provisional Psychologist in the province of Alberta. Maggie supports children, teens, and adults with learning, behavioural, and mental health challenges. At Center Street Psychology, she offers comprehensive psychoeducational assessments, ADHD assessments, individual and family counselling, and parenting support.
She earned her Master's degree in School Psychology from Mount Saint Vincent University, where she received specialized training in psychological assessment. Over the past five years, she has gained experience working in school, clinical, and healthcare settings, supporting individuals aged five and older across a range of concerns — including learning and educational difficulties, anxiety, low mood, self-esteem, executive functioning, ADHD, and behavioural challenges.
Psychological assessment is one of Maggie's areas of specialty. She understands how difficult it can be to watch a child, teen, or loved one struggle in school, with organization, or with behaviour — even when additional support is already in place. These challenges can often lead to frustration, shame, or self-blame. Maggie views assessment as an opportunity to better understand what may be contributing to these difficulties and to identify supports that can truly help. She believes that having a clearer picture of what is going on can bring relief, validation, and a meaningful path forward.
Maggie also offers individual counselling for children, youth, and adolescents, as well as family and parenting support. She takes a client-centred approach, recognizing that every person brings a unique story and set of experiences. She is trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). In her family work, she draws on Collaborative Problem Solving to help families better understand one another, reduce conflict, and work together toward realistic and meaningful change.
Maggie's goal is to make the assessment and therapy process supportive, thoughtful, accessible, and empowering. She strives to help individuals and families feel understood, gain a clearer sense of what they are experiencing, and feel more confident and equipped to navigate life's challenges.
In her downtime, Maggie enjoys camping, hiking, reading, and watching documentaries. She loves discovering new restaurants with friends, spending time with her partner, and unwinding with video games or the music of Hozier, Lizzy McAlpine, and SZA.
