Britta Carry (she/her) M.C.
Britta Carry (she/her) is a Registered Provisional Psychologist in the province of Alberta and holds Master’s Degree in Counselling. She provides counselling to pre-teens, adolescents, and adults, and offers individual and couples/relationship counselling. Britta has been involved in the mental health and education settings for over 5 years and has a wealth of experience supporting neurodivergent children and youth through residential services and work within educational settings. Through this experience and her work as a therapist, Britta has developed a strong commitment to creating welcoming and affirming environments where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and lived experiences authentically. She values humor, connection, empathy and collaboration in her work with clients.
Britta takes an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from a variety of therapeutic modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and feminist therapies. She is pursuing levels I and II training in Gottman Method for couples.
In her time outside of work, Britta enjoys spending time outdoors with friends and family through activities like skiing, biking, running and climbing. When she isn’t outside, you can often find her cooking or baking, watching movies with her partner, crafting with friends, or attending a Pilates class!
