Wanda Chevrette (she/her)
Wanda (she/her) is a Registered Psychologist in the Province of Alberta. Wanda became interested in the study of Psychology while enrolled in the Canadian Armed Forces. She started to see symptoms of trauma in her comrades and witnessed the impact this had on the individual and their family members. She has since left the military to pursue her interest in psychology, human behaviour and trauma.
Wanda holds a Master’s of Counselling degree from Athabasca University and has completed certification in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. This is a research-based approach to relationships and she has completed levels 1 and 2. She has extensive experience with affairs (emotional), infidelity (sexual), betrayal trauma, and marriage discord.
She also has a sincere passion for working with childhood and intergenerational trauma and has over 15 years of experience working in trauma and addiction services. She has worked with adolescents and adults struggling with addictions, trauma, and mental health issues within residential, community outreach, and child protection settings. She’s previously taught Couples Counselling, Family Systems Theory, and Group Counselling at City University in Edmonton, Alberta.
On a personal note, Wanda loves anything that takes place in the wilderness – camping, sailing, kayaking, hiking, etc. She also enjoys painting, cooking, baking, and well…eating her gastronomic creations of course!

Court-Involved Assessment and Therapeutic Services
In matters where the Court must make decisions regarding the well-being of children amidst parental conflict, or when expert input is required, Wanda Chevrette is recognized by the Alberta courts as a Parenting Expert. She is qualified to deliver both Practice Note 7 (PN7) and Practice Note 8 (PN8) services, and to provide expert opinion and testimony in family law proceedings.
Wanda approaches each case with diligence, neutrality, and clinical precision, conducting thorough evaluations that support the best interests of the child(ren) and help inform judicial decision-making.

Comprehensive, court-ordered assessments designed to assist the Court in determining optimal custody and decision-making arrangements for the child(ren).
